Free Wildlife Photography Exhibition at Bere Marsh Farm this November

We’re delighted to host a free exhibition of wildlife photography by Royal Photographic Society photographer Marilyn Peddle, capturing the rich natural life of Bere Marsh Farm and its surrounding landscape.

The exhibition showcases photographs taken through the seasons, chronicling the lives of the birds and animals that share this beautiful corner of Dorset with us.

Marilyn’s striking images will be on display in the Threshing Barn at Bere Marsh Farm from 7–14 November.

She will be present at the exhibition opening, and on selected days throughout the week, to talk about what inspires her work and the challenges of capturing wildlife in its natural habitat.

A Dorset native, Marilyn’s love of the local countryside inspired her to take up photography. What began as a casual interest grew into a true passion with the arrival of digital cameras. In 2014, she achieved her Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society, and she currently serves as President of the Blandford Forum Camera Club.

Friday 7 November – 11am–4pm (Exhibition Opening)

Saturday 8 November – 11am–1pm

Sunday 9 November – Closed for Remembrance Day

Monday 10 to Friday 14 November – 10am–4pm

Our Buzz Café will be open on Friday 7 and Friday 14 November, from 11am to 4pm. Why not enjoy a drink and a tasty treat after exploring the exhibition?

What We Do

The CRT promotes nature-friendly farming to help reverse biodiversity decline and combat climate change. We believe nature is integral to good farming and we protect, promote and regenerate our land and all life on it. We put our philosophy into practice on over 2,000 acres of working farms, small-holdings and woodland across England.

Slow-worms – the gardener’s best friend

The UK has 6 native reptile species including the curious slow-worm (Anguis fragilis). Although serpent-like in appearance, slow-worms are in fact limbless lizards and an amazing example of de-evolution.

The CRT has a wide range of wonderful properties across the UK. Many of these have been left to us in legacy whilst others were purchased to save the land - full of precious ecosystems and habitats - from intensive farming.
