The CRT has a wide range of wonderful properties across the UK. Many of these have been left to us in legacy whilst others were purchased to save the land - full of precious ecosystems and habitats - from intensive farming.

We take a holistic view of why the countryside matters. Wildlife, food production, employment, economics and development are all essential parts of life in the countryside. Our farms and properties use a mix of traditional and innovative new methods so that wildlife is given a home.

Follow the Countryside Code

When visiting our properties or spending time in the countryside, remember to be considerate and follow the countryside Code:

• Be considerate to those living in, working in, and enjoying the countryside
• Leave gates and property as you find them
• Do not block access to gateways or driveways when parking
• Be nice, say hello, share the space
• Follow local signs and keep to marked paths unless wider access is available
