Community orchard volunteer Register to volunteer Would you like to help care for and maintain a thriving orchard while supporting wildlife and sustainable food production? As a Community Orchard Volunteer, you will play an important role in maintaining healthy fruit trees and ensuring the orchard remains a welcoming, biodiverse space for both people and nature. Barton Community Orchard at Lark Rise Farm was created in 2019 and we need volunteers to help us maintain it. You will take part in a variety of practical, seasonal tasks including pruning, watering, mowing, and general orchard maintenance. Whether you are learning new skills or bringing previous experience, your contribution will directly support the long-term health and productivity of the orchard. Our orchards are more than places to grow fruit, they are living landscapes that support biodiversity, connect communities with nature, and demonstrate the value of nature-friendly land management. Volunteers like you are essential to this work. This is a great opportunity to learn practical conservation skills, spend time outdoors, and meet others who care about nature and sustainable food production.
