Volunteer roles

There are many ways to get involved as a CRT involved, from conservation projects to wildlife monitoring. We provide all the training and support you need

Practical Conservation Volunteer

There are many projects for our Practical Conservation Volunteers to get involved with, from planting trees and wildflowers, to restoring ponds, coppicing and controlling invasive species.

Wildlife Monitor Volunteer

Our Wildlife Monitor Volunteers help us to monitor and protect biodiversity on our farms. They gather data that helps us manage our land and show the positive impact of nature-friendly farming.

Repair & Maintenance Volunteer

From machinery repairs to building maintenance, painting, and keeping signage in good order, our Repair and Maintenance Volunteers help us to deliver even more for nature and wildlife.

Birding Volunteer

Our Bird Hide Volunteers assist with bird identification, managing our bird hides and sharing information with visitors about the different species they might encounter.

Our farms

We have volunteer teams on seven of our farms. Every property has its own unique habitats, from arable and grazing fields to wildflower meadows and woodlands. As a volunteer you can enjoy these beautiful landscapes and help us manage them in a way that supports biodiversity:

  • Lark Rise Farm, Barton, Cambridgeshire CB23 7AY
  • Bere Marsh Farm, Shillingstone, Dorset, DT11 0QY
  • Pierrepont Farm, Frensham, Surrey, GU10 3BS
