CRT Farms & Woodland

Nature is integral to good farming, and it’s a philosophy we’re putting into practice at over 2,000 acres of working farms, small-holdings, and woodland. We are steward to 16 properties across the UK, each with its own approach to sensitive land management, conservation projects and nature-friendly farming practices, all aimed at reversing the decline in biodiversity.

Our farms are diverse. Some are already models of nature-friendly farming, while others have ambitious plans and work underway to increase their ecology. Many are rural hubs for exercise, learning, arts, crafts, and markets; places you can enjoy a family day out, or even stay for a relaxing break in the countryside.

The UK has 6 native reptile species including the curious slow-worm (Anguis fragilis). Although serpent-like in appearance, slow-worms are in fact limbless lizards and an amazing example of de-evolution.
